PAL SpeedUp

PAL SpeedUp: With this technology, cinema films with their original 24 full frames per second can be adapted to the European PAL Adapt a system that works with a refresh rate of 50 Hz in the interlaced process.

With PAL-SpeedUp, the playback of the film is accelerated by approx. 4%, so that you initially get 25 frames per second. In the Connection becomes a 2:2 pulldown performed in which each full screen is broken down into two fields. The result is the 50 fields per second defined by PAL.

Problems with this technology arise when the film is accelerated. Through this process, all sound frequencies are slightly raised and the original voices or sounds are changed. People with sensitive hearing perceive this difference.
