DVB HTML: Application class created by Multimedia Home Platforms (MHP) is defined. DVB-HTML applications have only been supported since the MHP 1.1 standard. Because the complexity compared to DVB-J is significantly higher, the corresponding functionality is not available in most MHP receivers. Java is also optionally used with DVB-HTML, comparable to the Java applets known from Internet browsers.
