MHP: Multimedia HomePlatform. Describes a standard for the transmission and display of interactive content in digital television based on the Java programming language. In addition to purely broadcast-based services, such as extended teletext and electronic program guides, MHP also enables interactive services that require an additional feedback channel (e.g. voting, quizzes, ...). MHP is currently available in version 1.2 (as of April 2009).
