D2 MAC: Duobinary encoded multiplexed analog components. TV transmission system for satellite broadcasting, which consists of the D-MAC and has minor differences in data processing, in the (lower) video bandwidth of around 7-8 MHz and in the number of audio channels (four). 16:9 broadcast and digital sound are possible with this system. Outdated, only used by a few Pay TV-Transmitters used.
