sync signal

sync signal: Designates a term from video image technology. Sync stands for synchronization. The syncSignal syncs the frame rate (see frame rate) on the display of the playback device with that of the video source signal. In the Composite Video contains three different types of sync signals: color burst, horizontal and vertical sync.

The RGB (see RGB) the signal can be transmitted as one combined signal, the sync signal, or as two separate signals "H" and "V" for horizontal and vertical sync.
