S VCD

S VCD: Refers to an optical data carrier for storing film material. The Resolution was opposite the VCD significantly increased and is 576 x 480 pixel and 25 frames per second. As a result, the maximum recording time is only around 30 to 40 minutes. A big advantage, however, is the variable Data rate – Videos can be adjusted and saved with a maximum of 2,6 Mbit/s.

The corresponding audio data is saved as the same as the visual material MPEG-2 and stored in multiple channels with a maximum data rate of 384 kbit/s. S-VCDs can be stored on the PC as well as on many DVD- And Blu-ray disc players can be played.
