PureDirect: Denotes a process that bypasses the tone controls to achieve minimal distortion. It is, so to speak, from Receiver or amplifier everything that could affect playback in any way (circuitry, display lighting, etc.) is switched off, thus reproducing the source with the greatest fidelity. To activate Pure Direct, you need to press the corresponding button on the receiver or amplifier (not every device has one!).
