DVB-C2: successor standard DVB-C, which is scheduled for release in early 2009. The first terminals should then be available in early 2010. DVB-C2 is doing a great resemblance to DVB-T2 have and are therefore also based on the modulation method QFDM. A use of H.264codecs is probably, but not the primary component of DVB-C2, since DVB-C2 only defines the physical transmission in the OSI layer model.
