Dolby Surround Pro Logic IIz: To use Pro Logic IIz, you need to add two additional speakers to a previous 5.1 or 7.1 setup (9.1 system). The new boxes are located above the right and left front loudspeakers, just below the ceiling, which is why they are also called “height loudspeakers”. With Pro Logic IIz can be used as a source stereo- or use 5.1 material. The new system also works with existing 7.1 speaker configurations, so after the upgrade you will eventually have 10 boxes (7 main boxes, 2 height speakers and a Subwoofer) in the living room.
