Y/C:

Y/C: Y stands for luminance = black/white and C stands for chrominance = color signals; The Y/C cable, too S-Video-Cable called has a 4 on each end-Pin-DIN connector, the so-called Hosiden connector. However, the cable only contains two twisted pairs with 75 Ohm (see Ohm), which transport the two signals Y and C. Features: better Resolution and less color flicker than Composite Video, since the color and brightness signals are routed separately. Not to be confused with YUV (see YUV).
