UWB extension

UWB extension: The so-called Ultra Wide Band is a radio method that works with a weak but broadband transmission signal that other systems only see as noise. You can't do more than a third of that with this 1080bandwidth, which is why you have to resort to turbo in the form of data compression.

The existing Tzero and Pulse-Link approaches both use an Analog Devices chip that shrinks each frame individually to the JPEG2000 standard. This has the advantage that the transmission can be frame-accurate, but only almost: The Hitachi devices already sold in Japan have a warning sticker for gamers who rely on particularly fast reactions.
