Power factor "cos phi"

Mathematical variable that indicates the proportion of active power in the total power. Usually 0,9 . Example: A person who operates a device with a connected load of 2 kW for one hour has consumed 2 kW/h, ie Performance (kW) x time (h) = work or “consumption”.

1000 kVA x cos-phi (0,9) = 900 kW active power.
