HDCP

HDCP: HDCP stands for High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection and denotes an encryption system for DVI (see DVI) and HDMI (see HDMI) intended for protected transmission of audio and video signals (also Copy protection called). HDCP is supposed to be in Europe for HDTV, and Blu-Ray (see Blu-Ray) and HD-DVD (see HDDVD) become the standard. Problem-free functioning of the DVI and HDMI interfaces can only be guaranteed for video files if HDCP has been correctly implemented by the manufacturer in both connected devices.
