effective power: The actual, effective Performance, which is generated by an electrical circuit. This value, which is given in watts (see Watts), is usually synonymous with the ability, e.g. B. an amplifier, a measured at 1 kHz, continuous power with a total harmonic distortion (see distortion factor) of less than 1%.
