Dolby True HD

Dolby True HD: Dolby True-HD describes an audio system specially developed for the growing HD marketCodec, specially designed for use on Blu-Ray-Disks was developed as an optional, lossless surround sound format. The codec supports up to eight channels (corresponds to 7.1) with 24-bit samples and a sampling rate of 96 kHz. If fewer than 8 channels are used, the sampling rate can be increased to 192 kHz. The maximum data transfer rate is 18 MB/s.
