HCC: HCC stands for High Current Capability and describes the ability of an amplifier to deliver very high currents to the loudspeaker for a short time. This is important for correct impulse reproduction, especially with low-impedance and “complex” (=phase-shifted) loudspeakers. Amplifiers with current limit protection circuitry and without HCC built in run the risk of premature shutdown.
