signal-to-noise ratio: A weighted value of the signal-to-noise ratio,  i.e. H. When measuring the signal-to-noise ratio, it is taken into account that the human ear perceives medium-frequency sounds between 1.000 and 5.000 Hz more strongly than sounds above and below them. The signals (see Signal) is therefore passed through a special filter that emphasizes the frequencies perceived by the ear during the measurement.
