Flexible wave tweeter: In conventional speaker domes, the stiffest possible Membran (see membrane) always swing forwards and backwards as a whole - the higher the frequency, the faster. In the case of bending wave constructions, the frequency components arise on different sectors of the membrane, sometimes even in phase opposition.
