Ribbon speaker (membrane): An oscillating foil through which the electrical music signal in the form of an electrical current flows vertically is used to generate sound. This is moved by induction (= magnetic attraction and release by electrically charged metal rods), so they work in a similar way to magnetostats and electrodynamic loudspeakers.
