color space

color space: Color space is a description of the limits within which color perception and color reproduction can be approximated. For example, if a color space B. is defined by three optical corner frequencies as in video technology, only the coding of individual colors by the color model can lead to the desired match between recording/master and playback.

Deviations in the color space become clear in the color diagram by shifting the corner points, which then indicates e.g. B. a different color rendering of a certain device.
