Deep Color: One of HDMI supported standard to extend the color depth from the previously used 8 bits to up to 16 bits per color channel. Even with a color depth of 10 bits, Deep Color achieves a billion different color nuances, which leads to extremely natural images with very high contrast values in the HD range.
Each further increase in color depth by one bit doubles the number of intermediate tones that can be displayed. With Deep Color, 64.000 gradations can be transmitted in each basic color.
